Hey guys, I leave for Mexico in an hour so I thought I would update. I’m
very excited to go and see what the Lord is going to do. School has been
kicking me in the behind. BOOO!!! I’m very glad it is spring break. I’m
actually sitting here listening to Jeremy Camp – This Man and it is making
me think….
In only moment truth
Was seen revealed this mystery
The crown that showed no dignity he wore
And the kind was placed for all the world
To show disgrace
But only beauty flowed from his face
Would you take the place of this man
Would you take the nails from his hands
Would you take the place of this man
Would you take nails from his hands
And we just don't know the blood and water flowed
And in it all he showed just how much he cared
And the veil was torn
So we could have this open door
And all these things have finally been complete
This song is very beautiful. I remember the first time I listen to
it while I was delivering food for my boss at Speedy Wok. This
song is so powerful. How awesome is our Lord? Jesus went
through so much crap. From the time He first spoke to the time
He was crucified. I think none of us can grasp the torture Jesus
went though. The only human beings that can even imagine what
Jesus went through at the cross may be slaves, but they can’t even
comprehend Jesus’ death because Jesus was willingly beaten and
whip while the slaves had no choice. We can’t even imagine the pain.
I think this song is so awesome because it is asking us a clear question…
Would you take the place of this man
Would you take the nails from his hands
Would you take the place of this man
Would you take nails from his hands
I’m going to be honest. I don’t know if I could. I don’t know if I
could willingly allow myself to be beaten to near death and then
be nailed to the cross. Jesus did it. I’m still shocked by this. It takes
a man with a huge heart, faith, and love to be able to do that. But
the beautiful thing about Jesus’ crucifixion is that we don’t have to
answer this question. We don’t have to do it literally. Jesus saved
us from all of our wickedness by nailing it to the cross. He freed us.
And we just don't know the blood and water flowed
And in it all he showed just how much he cared
And the veil was torn
So we could have this open door
And all these things have finally been complete
Thanks to Jesus we won’t have to suffer the way He did. He opened
the door for us to have mistakes but He challenged us to stand for what
is true. That is the way we can answer the question “would you take His
place”. It is time to take Jesus’ place. I don’t mean that literally. I mean it
is time to take a stand against this evil world. It is up to us, Christians, to
fight against this evil world. Jesus already did the dirty work at Calvary.
Now it is time for us to clean up the mess left in this world. With Him by our
side, we will.
How glorious and beautiful is our King Jesus?
His grace and mercy is far beyond any intellectual capacity
